Coward

Xanthic pallor

stains the face

As the light

liquifies inside

the liquored liver

and darkens

the coward’s heart

As it hardens

into its last beat

And the brain’s

gray matters

No longer

Desolate yet very powerful and perceptive, I think many can relate to this if they care to admit :-)
