Abandoned Graveyard

graves are deep sunk into loam
the murk of fog smothers
worms are fat and maggots roam
the roots of trees search
skins are peeled and portray bone
the blow of wind monotone
stones are writ and stand alone
the death of life unknown

shells
Stark, chilling and you have captured that lonely melancholy
feeling of abandonment in few words, enjoyed.

Your words coupled with your profile picture make me think of heavy/death metal genres of songs! :) Being a fan of some of those bands from that genre, I enjoyed this - thanks.
