To be gone

Dying, as a part of living

that big conundrum

beats me senseless with hard these
questions

of our understanding alive

taking a number standing in line

ready for my name to be announced

know that living is soon to be gone

loving the time at the rue

as life is
so is this and that also
life

Making sense of life vs. death is the feeling I get from these words... as always, you get the reader into a zone, so to speak, and it's one with much meaning.

Thoughts of death seem so final and difficult to fathom. We live in a finite world, yet it still seems like such a mystery-- unlike birth that feels more like a miracle. But like you say, we all get that number the moment we are born and it's the one thing we can all count on. In one way or another, we continue to live as matter or spirit. I like to think that it's what we leave behind with our deeds, our work, our accomplishments, your music, that will keep on living.* Deep thoughts.
