symbiotic she said and threw

symbiotic she said and threw
wild eyes into the abyss
symbiotic and yet solitary
a walk amongst scores
of never to be

she leaned towards my shadow
glanced at my impunity
gleaned my slow days
into the coming
of the impossible

when all was no more
than a soft motion
in the undergrowth of time
I took her for a ride
into another coming

smooth skin rose
in a bright morning bed
fluid with desire
and a kind of belonging
animals are familiar with
