Escapade

Today I danced in silence
When I wanted to play
But did not want to break the silence
So I danced

Today I prayed in silence
When I wanted to sing odes
Today I watched in silence
When I wanted to say

The silence is over powering
sometimes
We give into it
Enclosed spaces can be like a maze
One can be lost in the confinement
Even in company

Who built these buildings
I want to be outside
My feet always touching the earth
With wind in my hair
With my hand in yours.

Have I lost use of the words
Or may be I was never a believer
It helps to be a kafir
To have a soul full of you
The words simply dont well up
to make any sound
A smile does manage a getaway
And laughter escapes

This is beautiful! I love the feelings invoked.
