in the green of the night

in the green of the night
summer flustered
with a new serendipity
in the soft hum
of friendly trees
we lost our breath
our watery voices
naked to the coming
of soft tissue
and stories to tell

This could be seen as romantic but what I think of when I see green light is the night light during a war and the soft sound of friendly trees which would be so beautiful in that light until we meet the soft tissue of the dead. Call me macabre, but that's what I see, expressed in such beautiful words that actually"take my breath away." Whatever it is, it is beautiful and vivid. :-)
