Tis Almost Winter Are We Discontened?

Winter almost upon us
Spring feels to be eons
Away

Are we disheartened?
'tiss a daft questan is that!
Of course we be!
Dank , wet , generally miserable
Weather
Some have snow and icy temperatures

There are those who like it to be so
They are quite quite mad
Bordering on being insane!

Hear in the U K , when there is snow on the ground
Blokes , with be in shorts , young and those of great age
In the north east , football fans on the terraces around the ground
Bear cheated , not always a prity site , beer bellys wobbling about up and down!
Men boobs , flopping about , in the icy chill winds
Blue veins ridged standing out proudly
Reminding me to put on extra vests and more wooly jumpers!

How I long for spring and summer!

White (like winter snow) and reds and yellows (like fall leaves) are my least favorite colors. Give me the greens of spring and summer any day. Enjoyed.

I lived 25 years on the 45th parallel, where the snows covered the ground and the streets and the banks were five feet high, and I never learned to like winter. I live in the tropics now and it's where I feel comfortable. Shorts and flip flops on the beach are for me. I enjoyed your poem. :-)

We're milder than you in the UK Ken but today I had to trudge back to the car in a deluge of rain I'm with you all the way, I am a summer girl - don't think I could survive in really cold places
