every tear on every face tastes the same

~ you are not alone, lyric by jeffry scot tweedy

i'm home, babycakes

i tell her about the trip

about meeting this beautiful woman

how we walked together, hand in hand

how we found two conchs and a sand dollar

how she kept the sand dollar for the memories

i talk about our two days of bliss on the beach

the drinks while watching the sunset, the fine food and company

the long talk we had by the fire

the chaste kisses, the longing, the unrequited passion

the final, sad goodbye.

terri says that’s so sweet, and i say it was

and terri's eyes glisten, and i kiss away her tears

we love more fiercly than we ever had before

we love to prove our love, not for each other, but for ourselves

This is a well-realized poem. I enjoyed it, though I really didn't get the last line.

Tweedy's playing Omaha late next month, and I've got tickets.

I love the last line:D Can you use this word in a sentence: alacrity? (don't ask why think of my request as one random request) and would you like to make the story even more interesting? Imagine that you meet someone that you offer your body to and that someone says: Am done with humans and you reply but you can have my body to begin with and that someone replies: Am done with humans and next time I connect with someone on that level we will have one thing in common the place where our orgasms took place instead of making the "source of my orgasm" to the safe place where I can be tenderly attentive and feel the love inside me.

I like this very much. The feelings are very real whether it's a fantasy or reality, the feelings come through so real, so clear, and I liked the last two lines very much. They say much.

I like the Jeffry Scot Tweedy lyrics too ... a lot.
