Just thinking of times with my grandchildren and the peace that comes from being with them.

Rainbows And Bunny Rabbit Feet

Come here my little one.
Sit upon my knee.
Let me tell you stories
of things that just might be.

Tales of running in the rain
of dancing in the streets.
Tales of seeing rainbows
and bunny rabbit feet.

Stories of tomorrows
with pictures of yesterday,
Painted across the sky
where the sunbeams play.

Come here my little one.
Crawl up on Nana's lap.
Show me your baseball
and your New York Yankees cap.

Tell me of your dreams,
of your imaginary friend.
Tell me of your playmates.
I don't want this time to end.

Lets close our eyes together
as I hum this little tune.
I'll rock away all burdens
for we'll both be sleeping soon.
