I am the impeding

I am the impeding
of what must come around
the inevitability of things
we call home

hush - look at me -
I am still here
bleeding across
your eyes on the floor

there is no merry pardon
no dark mistress
undressing for your eyes
only this futility

I am the one more day
the one more breath
the one more at all
of all that is all no more

Very good. There is always a last and the feeling is always so sad.

This poem leaves me with a feeling of loss and sadness. The last paragraph reaches deep, and the first one says so much about life.
