Through the haze

Suck in the nicotine
White plumes blur vision

Through the haze
See a home well lit
Lit from fire
Fire of love
Love of beloveds
Beloveds of the heart
Heart of the home

A home so warm
Warm from laughter
Laughter of lovers
Lovers hold hands
Hands touch heal
Heal jaded souls

Two souls met
Met in pouring rain
Rain filled hearts
Hearts full of love
Love built a home
A home well lit
A home so warm

Suck in the nicotine
White plumes blur vision
Grasp through the smoke

It's all up in the air now

Jamsbo Rockda The PoetBay support member heart!
This is very well constructed and makes you think. Nice work.

one trick pony The PoetBay support member heart!
the heart of this is tender, even traditional, surrounded by the haze you create, as if it is the clarity and wholesomeness of the scene is a lie.

shells
Even though I manage to give up smoking, I like this, it flows well, full of love until the final line, much enjoyed.
