Recently , the British voted the robin to be robin to be our national bird. Hear a story-poem on The Cute Robin. I prefer The Nightingale , my self. Go to YouTube - listen to why. :))

BRITAINS NATIONAL BIRD - THE CUTE ROBIN!

The robin now been voted British national bird
Looks cute I agree at first site - red chested
Cocky - and all that - kind of easy to adore
Will come right close to you - chirping happily
To your

BUT the cocky robin - a bit of a bully - and some
Not above being murderous - even genocidal
To it's own kind - homicidal inclined!

Maybe due to it's size - bantam wait
Thinks it self a hawk - inferiority - superiority - complex

So beware - of the cutey robin - that red breast it were's
Could be the robins butches apron!

Well done, Ken. We have robins around here. I've never really liked them. Their song isn't especially attractive, and they're pretty stupid. One spent all summer crashing into my bedroom window. I'll take the more musical birds, and the crows, who are vicious, but smart.

Oh dear, sounds like a bit of the old "short person complex". I didn't realize they were that aggressive. Nice piece Ken :)

Fabulous! I can appreciate the irony of a cute decorative bird being vicious against its own kind! Love it. Excellent poem.
