THE DODO (with thanks to Jamsbo Rockda)

The dodo - a friendly bird - totally harmless
The dodo naively believed it self safe -
No predators hunting it down
The dodo saw no need for it to fly - take to the air
Even made it's flesh uneatable - tasted - well horrible!
That's a fact!

The dodo - inhabited an island - isolated - adding - to the dodos sense of being safe!
Till one day - Dutch ships sailing by - spotted the dodo Island - dropped anchor
Rowed to the dodo's island - a fateful day for the unfortunate dodo - it days numbered
The Dutch sailors - came across the dodo's - the dodos - never ran away - never hid Till that fateful day - the dodo had no need to
The Dutch sailors - gathered them up - no need to hunt them down!

The Dutch sailors - butchered methods the Dutch used - and they tried them all!
The dodo - was totally uneatable!
So the Dodo died out killed - wipe out - extinct - cos they were so easy to catch and kill!

The Dutch sailors rowed back to their ship - thinking nothing more of what they'd dun

I think it was the animals that the sailors brought that killed them off. They were already a big candidate for extinction because their isolation. Sad though. Nice work :)
