For a spirit that glows who I was so fortunate to meet.

Blue sky

Like a bird with no sky

Hope withers and dies

Falling through

The cracks in your mind

The bones that remain

Twisted in pain

Scars open too deep

Bleeding like rain

A heart pierced

By so many lies

Like a bird with no sky

Tears in yours eyes

Searching for a place to fly

The cracks in your mind

Open some more

You're pressed hard

Against the face of time

But your spirit still glows

Defied all the blows

Though many were given to try

So cling to that thread

That thread of a dream

Where darkness retreats

To Blue sky.

Absolutely beautiful... as I feel what you mean by these words. The one you write them to is obvious to me that they mean something deep. Very emotive, if not emotional, that's what the words here speak to me. That person is a lucky one to have someone to write such insightful and sensitive words for, is what I say :)

A very beautiful piece. I hope this person takes solace in your fine words.

A bird with no sky. That's a very powerful image. What would a bird do without the great big blue sky to soar into? Human beings also need places to soar--to rise above the bad experiences that come into our lives. Fine poem about hope and possibility.

Beautiful poem. Thanks for sharing with everyone. Your poem started with life's challenges and then at the end it is finished in a positive tone.

in whatever form it may come, adversity has the potential to erode love and a relationship; or, it has the potential to make the love deeper, and the healing power of love, though it may be a cliche, is real. i think, though i can't be sure, that your poem is about the latter, about the power of love, to stand by someone in pain, because the love is real and there and meaningful.

i'm sorry if this is vague. i know this kind of love, it isn't easy to put into words.
