So This Is Music

The controversy of dissonance
I heard the hammers fall
Neither form or unity
stumbled from the curious

Like disinterested raindrops
weary from the storm
note sidestepped note
none wrote or rote

slender dancing digits
Lifted and were hesitant
An applause for the silence
"So this is music" it cried

Meticulously crafted and written. One man's music is another man's din.

dissonance is the villain of music, but necessary for balance and tension, and resolution. your images capture this as beautifully as can be, each image more perfect than the next. this is an understated poem, but remarkable. i will bookmark it.
