ABOUT ME

I am obsessed with history, especially french (the revolution) and british (the royal navy, napoleonic wars). I'm attending to a music/dance/drama course at Hartvig Nissen Highschool in Norway and after I'm finished there I would like to go to Cambridge and study history or philosophy. Another dream of mine is to travel the world with a theatre ensemble as an actress. I love to write and read, especially older authors and my favourites are Victor Hugo, Goethe, George Sand, de Balzac, Amalie Skram and Michel Faber.

"Will we ever again witness the powerful winds of true political passion? Passion violent, harsh, and sometimes cruel, but great, selfless, and creative? I cannot get used to what confronts us today. I will never get used to it."
(Letter to Francisque de Corcelle, October 19, 1839)

"The world will know and understand me someday, But if that day does not arrive, it does not greatly matter. I shall have opened the way for other women."
- George Sand

"O liberté ! Que de crimes on commet en ton nom!"
- Manon Roland before her execution
