Nimetoka mashambani
Sehemu za mbali
Kutapatapa matopeni
Hali ya msimu wa mvua
Jua, lishakuwa mteja

I've come from the farming lands
Far away
Wading in the mud
It's the rainy season
The sun nowhere to be seen
