peter and wendy

peter never grows up

so happy to be a forever-boy

he never notices

wendy has something to offer

wendy grows up

leaving the land of lost boys behind

except for a memory

that becomes doubtful   a myth

she doesn’t tell her children

of her days in neverland

they have their own neverland

she rarely thinks of him

he never thinks of her

peter pan   peter pan   never a man

Lol, so true I suppose. Peter has all the attributes of an impish boy who knows magic but never grows up. Very sad really. I wonder where he would fit in taxonomy :)

I enjoyed the metaphor. So well expressed. Even within ourselves there exists a Peter and a Wendy. The constant conflict of growing up and wanting to remain the child, and the growing apart of one over the other. Well done!
