Dolphin

There is a soft metallic sheen
On the still water at sunset
That broaches effortlessly
With hardly a ripple

The dolphin arrives
Unanticipated unplanned
A routine unincumbered
By my wished for joy

It moves with languid liquid grace
To rhythms sinuous and calm
Yet unexplored or touched upon
In my reveries profound

Your poetic words describe the magic of this animal. But to see one, and experience the moment, to feel the connection with the water creatures is something everyone must experience. Beautifully written!
