I survived a direct hit by Mathew in Beaufort South Carolina while my boat was anchored in a deep tidal creek...100knot winds. Soul altering, Life changing!

Hurricane

The fury holds and shakes
Your bones and body
A tactile thing that savages
Your mind and spirit
Unconquerable

It's power has no
Imaginable limit
It moves rips and tears
At its whim directed
By forces undefined

Vessels trees homes
Snapped and shattered
With boundless disregard
It's mindless track plods
Forward then expended
Dies on some forgotten coast
Elliot's zephyr whimper

I don't think that you could go through something like that and not be changed. You describe it brilliantly.

I can only imagine...mother nature is the boss.
A good use of strong words.
