Truth Untold

You choose to forget
You choose to run away
You choose to neglect
Me when I say:
You're totally ignorant in all that you think
So foolish with your false assumptions
Only two words and you have a link
To something no more than a lie
It should be infuriating to me
But it isn't
I'm honestly just tired
Tired of trying to be there
When you can't even be there for yourself
And so I relinquish my position
I let you let go
We'll both survive
You in your blissful lies for shelter
Me in the truth
What you will never know
