Inbox Memories

I spoke to you today
or I think I did, let's say
Brought me few tears
But mainly a smile, my dear
Years of dust, passing sands
a dwindling mind and unfamiliar lands
Left me little to remember you by
a word, picture or a parting goodbye
But what a pleasant surprise, it was
to see again a glimpse from our past
I read words that once were,
a part of your vibrant world
From the day we first spoke
To the moment it all broke
Each bit saved, in an e mail inbox
Your first message to the final
In a way it was sad as well
From something incrediblle, a delight
To a discourse, black and white
Our memories reduced to binary
Came down to this, unfortunately
and I do realise,
it was good but it is over now
Till another reminder, that is.

Did you erase them? I can't make myself erase my inbox memories. It's like re-living a magical time again. A beautiful poem, written with all your emotions.
