Borrowed Breaths
So the old ladywith an impressive
fight in her soul
is no more!
Whom I got to know
thirty minutes in each go,
spanning over months
Where at instances
she would tell me her pain
and other times her fears.
I would try to piece together
some fragments of her being
Or remove few more furrows
off of her worried face.
Now that she is gone
her face is now etched
finding her way to the wall
where few more reside
like her.
and she will be remembered
through all those who follow her,
with borrowed smiles
and borrowed breaths.
