The old lady by Ann Wood

She is old lady and just move
to live in nursing home.
She is very sweet old lady.
Always singing or tell you stories.
She move to the nursing home,
because she have Dementia.
She love flowers, and
doing some gardening,
in the garden.
The home have nice gardens
with green houses.
There the old lady and other
residents plant some flowers and herbs.
They also have small vegetables garden.
She is so proud of herself and her small garden.
One day she ask me,
"Why I am here?"Where are my cgildren?"
I explained to her, that she is not
well and need help with her daily needs.
She look at me with sad face.
I make her nice cup of tea,
and few home made cookies,
to make her feel, better and comfortable.
She say thank you nurse, you are so kind to me.
I smile to her and say you are welcome at any time.
She start crying because
she was happy that she is not alone.
She is one old lady who live with Dementia.

That is such a kind thing to do. Nursing homes are such lonely, sad places. You make the place sound not so bad with gardens to plant flowers, but the fact is that the residents know why they were sent there, and that is so sad.
