Earthquake by Ann Wood
It was long time ago in 1990; I was live for few yeas in small historical town Tryavna. It was still winter and we was in the shopping centre with my mom. She was visiting me I was in boarding school for children with Asthma and other respiratory illnesses. It was in the afternoon when Earthquake start. Everything began to fall from the shelves in the store; people start panicking and run away from the shop. We go back to the school boarding house, and then mom goes back to my home city Varna. That night there were two more earthquakes, when first start I'm start calling that it has an earthquake. I grab my jacket and shoes and way out I grab one small child. We all go to the main car park and stay there until it finish. When we back in the house not long after that it start again, we all again go out in car park cover with blankets. We stay until it stop again, and go back in the house. That night we stay with our warm dresses and shoes, to be ready if it is start again. It was very cold and snowy night. I still remember it after over 20 years. That year we were having many earthquakes; so many people left with out houses and food. Also many died buried under the rubble, some was missing. It was tragic year for many families. I am glad that I survived after this big Earthquakes.Short story by Ann Wood
