in loving memory of my mother

Christmas Eve of 2001
You passed away from a heart attack
I never got to say the things I need to tell you
There's so much to explain,
Where to begin?
I can remember all the good times we had
And all the times I was a bitch
All the times I made you cry
All the times kids use to make fun of you
That one time when I lit the stove on fire
When you just laughed
And those days when we baked cookies
But now that you are gone im lost and confused
When that song "one more day"
Comes on the radio I sit there and cry
I think of the past
When you were here
When my life was complete

Ah Lynn, what a sad poem, but a lovely tribute to your mum, who you obviously love very much. I am sure she knows that too. I do believe that we meet our loved ones again. Luv, Normalil.
