Current Music:  "Song Yet to Be Sung" - Perry Farrell

Weirdly

For so many years, I've always minimized

The parts of the things that went wrong.

Trust me, I've indeed been doing that,

Believe it or not...

And today, well, I'm not quite sure yet

Where I'm at with it all, but I think it's

Becoming more apparent that letting go

Is well in the process...

I don't think I care to know anymore

Why what was at the time, was.

I think I'm satisfied with my understanding

That sickness was in play for all of it...

Maybe they loved me, maybe they didn't,

But one thing is certain to me,

They hated themselves deeply and were

As well damaged by what had been done to them...

Some can break the cycle, while others

Seemingly can't.  We still really don't

Understand why this difference exists.

So I'm (recently) keeping an open mind...

As always your words give pause for thought and set my mind on a journey.

Sitting at the dining table of oblivion
With only thoughts of the past on the menu.
If only it was as simple as to move to
a different table and dine from a new menu.
How precious our thoughts are
how attached to the distortions we become.

A poignant post.
It takes courage to break the cycle.
It takes strength to live with the pain.

There is a mature honest detachment here that is warming to read. A view from above on the follies and vicissitudes of life and relationships. All without condemnation or judgement. Simply observation. It's wonderfully written and universal in context. I could and will use this as an aide memoir for meditation.

It is those who survive
Those who turn the page
Turn the page over
Close THAT BOOK
Who write fresh new book
Are those who insures
What was is ended never no more
No more to bed repeated!

An open mind and an open heart. That is the healthiest way.
