The 12th Paladin deserts after a hundred years of war lured by a pretty face. History has it that Orlando the 12th Paladin, brought the good news from Aix to Ghent. Some say by then he was tired of being taken for a fool

Ride Paladin ride by M.A.Meddings

Ride Paladin ride to the edge of the broken sea
For on the shore dwells a maiden fair bring her here for me
'Sod off' I said to Chalamagne do you take me for a fool
If I am riding all those miles you have to know one rule

Any talent going spare and pretty fair of face
Is mine to kiss and yours to wish that I had got more grace
I am loyal true and never blue you sure are my good liege
But I baulk at giving her to you for I have seen her cleavage

Shes a lovely girl with such a twirl and a kiss to melt my heart
If I pick her up i am riding on and liege we have to part
Twenty years of being 12th in line and I wonder what i've done
I dont want to be the last in line I need to be number one

So dear Charlamagne its sad to say Im fed up with my lot
For all the service that I gave you didnt care one jot
I rode the breadth and length of the land doing of your bidding
But bring this maiden to your arms you have to be bloody kidding

Her lips are simply ruby red her eyes shine like the stars
She has a house in Ghent they say and another one in Maas
So charlagmagne I hate to do of a matter oh so wicked
12th Paladin no thank you sir frankly you can stick it

I hate to do the dirty sir especially with the war on
A hundred years is a bit too much I wonder were they've all gone
You might wonder whats attrracted me ,why I leave you now liege
Well is it any wonder sir, you should have seen her cleavage
