at first it seemed impossible that someone

as staid and responsible and even-keeled as marketa

could harbor such depth of passion   of soul

then i came to realize it is only people 

free of anxities and presumptions and judgment

that can reach those levels of experience

they are unfettered   even in their seeming convention

living within the strictures of society

which cannot touch them   they are too self-reliant

their inner-strength   their resilience

in regard to  the vicissitudes of daily life

keeps them moving forward in their own way

it has been remarkable to be with this woman

to be a part of her experience   to be embraced by her
