Talking to my Father by Ann Wood

Talking to my Father

My father, I am left in your hands,
let it be your will,
you know my heart,
you know my thoughts ...
they are often sinful,
and I was born in sin ..
but in my life I want to follow you-
and live by your rules.

I know you often test me
my faith to be strengthened,
i accept your lessons ..
Let it be as you want it.
I know it won't be easy,
nothing in my life,
but I also remember that it was not easy for your Son,
to be a victim even before he was born.

Before this Golgotha,
I'm quietly kneeling,
i feel lost and small-
unworthy of the Divine gift,
humble myself, and pray from the heart,
forgive me Dad, please forgive me ...

Forgive your unworthy daughter
which is very often angry,
to find in himself peace and light,
and take it to change.
Give me the will to accept my cross,
and though heavy, give me strength
to wear it without burdening me.

Teach me to love those too
who pass me in the back
teach me to reconcile and not judge
but also to take nothing from the world.

Don't separate me from your presence even for a moment,
and my heart blesses,
I have long chosen my path,
because he alone leads me into your grace,
The way of Father and Son! ❤️
