Beyond Salvation

- a moment beyond the point of ideations... one among many... thankfully failed... thankfully haven't been this unwell in years now...

as the rippling pressure points

undulate along my chest, and as
the air is cut, I fight to not faint,
while the glimpse of the moment
flashes before me piercing truth

right through sense, revealing a

measure of "this wasn't a good idea".

but as my crimson mess pulsates

out, sliding down my skin as it does,
there's no wonder left, nor care,

'cause the glimpse of this moment

is far too familiar to dazzle time.
on this occasion, the only place
to head toward is the settling end.

as the inevitability gallops in to
claim its space, I sit back and watch

it come finally.  So satisfied it will be

over shortly, 'cause no one's around.
they'll surely be upset for a while,
but this is clearly not about them...

reaching any relief is the only aim.

This too shall pass. And I see a hint of optimism toward the end of the poem. Well-written.

I'm with Tom. This is a very well executed poem, but it's quite grim.

A harrowing poem, in mood and in the deed that it describes. Supremely well written, but to evaluate such a deeply personal poem on literary merits seems really beside the point.

Thank you for sharing your work, so unflinching, so real.

When we that express our selfs in the arts
Our way artists in wordsmithing
Find our own salvation
Those who read our words find theirs
