Swings and Roundabouts

Today rises sombre.
Hurtful memories scarred into the brain,
Yet my heart has grown.
In kindness.
In fondness.
In everlasting love.

You could describe it as a tragedy.
Romeo and Juliett,
Greatest love.
Yet we both breathe.
I am betrothed to your heart.

All that tears us apart,
0.7 Miles.
Pride.
Fear.
Love.

It was said on our deathbed we would love someone better.
Our love the lesson.
Soul mates.

Patience.
Understanding.
Compromise.
The formula is found.
Understood.
Agonisingly separate.

0.7 miles.
Pride.
Fear.
Love.

Swings and roundabouts.
Forever and ever,
Babydoll.
