Motivation for 2021
so I had more time
to make mistakes.
By now,
I should
know better,
do better,
live better.
There's no time to fall,
get up,
and try again.
Yet I dust off my bruised knees,
straighten my rose-tinted glasses
and inch forward.
No one gets it right
on their first try.
It's time I gave myself
a second chance,
or a third,
or a fourth.
Cos the truth is,
if I don't,
then no one else will.

I wish I were youngerso I had more time
