Worried about you

I worry about your rash,
your pulled muscle
your sisters kid’s school bully

You worry about my exams,
my lost lip gloss,
and the money I lost at HDFC

I’ll worry with you about
your favourite cricketer’s injury
your own skipped health check
and the cleanliness of the gym

We’ll worry about your nephew’s sore throat
and your left car door that got scratched

I’m available for your worries
things that you brush of your plate
once you tell me about them

I’ll worry with you
cos i’ve realised loving you is futile
