Ice cream Tigers (challenge)

Thanks mate for the great kiwi flavoured ice-cream cone,
it's the best ice cream in the world don't you know.

Picture us there, as pretty as a floral picture painted as a poem
on the back of my birthday card:
Lost down the corridors of days defined by
coffee cup marks on paper.

Nature / nurture, don't forget to feed the tiger:
contentedly licking her paws like the cat who got the cream.

Inspired I am
for that moment licking sweetness
from my memory
letting it slide down my throat
thinking
It would be great to have another day with you

I feel cheetah'ed: this time
together has flashed by in a dash

As short lived as an ice-cream cone.
