God's Usefulness

You'll get God rammed down your throat
From the start. It's for the best. Through
Him, you'll learn that those in power,
Presidents and governors and bosses,
Men in general, and white men in particular,
Are to be silently obeyed. Society would
Fall apart if people questioned those who
Lead, if they began to doubt that, not just
Their lives, but the universe, was ruled with
An iron fist by Someone who cannot be
Questioned, Someone who, should He
Decide you've not debased yourself enough,
Can sentence you to pain and torment for
The rest of time.
