Goodbye August 2021 by Ann Wood

It is the last day of August, and it is cold and cloudy today.
And another sheet of the calendar falls, we send August and with it comes the end of summer.
The first school bell will ring soon, and schools will reopen their gates.
August was warm most of the time, though there were cold days at last.
Reapers reap the wheat in the lush fields, reapers sing folk songs, let the wheat be fruitful in the fields, and the gardens be blessed with a good harvest.
Soon the vine-growers will pick the grapes, and the farmers will prepare cans and cobs for the winter.
Goodbye August and see you soon, welcome September, I hope you are still warm.
