I wrote this poem years ago,
When Bush and Blair.
Were in power,
This really applys to all of us.

POVERTY

Three seconds for a child to die,
No time left to reason why.
Children dying not though hate,
Could be halted by G8.

If nobody listens Bush or Blair,
Someone has to care.
To some this may sound sinister,
Let's get together and vote;
Sir Bob Geldof for prime minister.

He could right all wrongs,
Of this I'm certain.
So watch out G8,
Don't hide behind the curtain.

Wipe the tears from your eyes,
As another one hit's the floor;
Another child dies.

Don't leave the children,
To their fate,
Teach them there's more,
To love then hate.

Children die,
How could we let this happen.
Let alone how,
G8 can help; End poverty now.
