The three secrets translated by Ann Wood

There are three secrets, my girl,
only three that will make you happy.
From me to remember them, to remember me,
when I am no longer with you.
The secret of the request, the gratitude
and giving.
Learn to ask of yourself.
By itself.
Don't ask for anything from others, daughter.
No love, no respect, no loyalty.
He who will love you will love you alone.
The one who will give you respect will be the one who knows you to the bottom of your soul, and the one who will be loyal to you will be the one who holds on to you.
Be grateful to all of them because they have given you a part of themselves without asking them to.
Be grateful to those who failed to truly love you, who betrayed you and who lied to you.
Thank you for saying goodbye.
Give your love without sparing it!
Without measuring and weighing it, without exchanging it.
Give everyone sincerity, give hope, give a smile.
No matter how much you give from it, daughter, you will not become poor, you will become richer.
And cleaner.
Everything is traded today, daughter.
People have not learned that giving is more valuable than taking.

Such wisdom. Needs to be taught in schools - from the very beginning.
