Obviously(?) it was 'Phantom of the Opera' that was the inspiration to write this.
and I realised a truth:
Change happens and time escapes
through those gaps between our blinks
so quickly, so cruelly, so permanently.
She was not concerned of his scars -
masque removed by her own fair hand -
it was not the surface she loved
it was above all that, and beneath it too.
We blink away time and we blink away tears
one follows the loss of the other sometimes,
and less frequently just for love itself -
its birth, its passion, and its ending.

CHRISTINE'S KISS
I watched Christine kissing Roualand I realised a truth:
Change happens and time escapes
through those gaps between our blinks
so quickly, so cruelly, so permanently.
She was not concerned of his scars -

it was not the surface she loved
it was above all that, and beneath it too.
We blink away time and we blink away tears
one follows the loss of the other sometimes,
and less frequently just for love itself -
its birth, its passion, and its ending.
