Life under Monty in the desert

Deafened by the blast

I am deafened

I am disorientated

I am dizzy

I cannot see

Oh my, this is my time

Death advances

My life is quickly being extinguished

My life is twisted & wasted

My leg is torn from the knee like a snapped twig

My body is reminscent of a butchers shop

Quick take me let me go quickly

what did I do to deserve this?

Maybe I should have stayed under cover

Now the blankett of death has come to cover me

There is no peace there is no happiness

My whole life situation is dictated by an unknown soldier many miles away

Oh what I would give for a cold beer or to be safe at home in bed

What war was this again??
You are too old for the "operation desert storm" arent you? Now, call the nurse and let her refresh your memory. But what PAIN you describe here! Now I want a beer as well!!
