ARGUING WITH MYSELF

Sometimes I think,
My mind has lost the plot.
I shouldn't really argue with it,
As it's the only one I've got.

Someone asked me to think outside the box,
I don't mean to lose face.
What was I doing in the box in the first place,
Think the answer to that my mind's erased.

Was once asked if I tried sniffing coke,
Think I was doing it wrong I suppose.
Only tried it the once,
But the bubbles got up my nose.

I really do think my mind has lost the plot,
But one should stop arguing with oneself. e
Especially if you know the mind you have,
Is the only one that you have got.

I have given up arguing with myself. I'm not sure when I stopped, but it seems some time ago now. On the face of it your poem has a lot of humour, but underneath is a valuable message methinks.
