ARGUING WITH MYSELF

Sometimes I think,

My mind has lost the plot.

I shouldn't really argue with it,

As it's the only one I've got.

Someone asked me to think outside the box,

I don't mean to lose face.

What was I doing in the box in the first place, think the answer to that my mind's erased.

Was once asked if I tried sniffing coke,

Think I was doing it wrong I suppose.

Only tried it the once,

But the bubbles got up my nose.

I really do think my mind has lost the plot,

But one should stop arguing with oneself. especially if you know the mind you have,

Is the only one that you have got.

I have given up arguing with myself. I'm not sure when I stopped, but it seems some time ago now. On the face of it your poem has a lot of humour, but underneath is a valuable message methinks.
