Ye Shall Have a Song

He drew the words

of the holy poem

out of the core of his being

as he shared his strength and hope

with a meeting of fifteen.

Ye shall have a song,

as in the night

when a holy solemnity is kept ...

And in a room

where religion often rankles,

where Bible can be bane,

there was no fidget or fuss,

no stretch or wiggle or yawn,

but simply silence:

reverent, and close to absolute.

D G Moody
Definitely one to mull over Thomas; its meaning to me revealed the truth of an inner life.

how surprising, I wrote on my Facebook profile what if everyone has his own little song, would it be like a symphony all together or a cacophony in Babel?

We each have a song, unique to us alone. Our life journey is the finding of it. Our prayers are the singing of it. Beautifully posited Tom.
