Watching March

Not sure what this day will bring

The garden’s showing signs of spring

The forecast looks quite promising

Today I’ll watch for signs of green

March can be a fickle friend

Rain and snow seems the trend

From year to year near its end

Shape changing  from lion to lamb

Today I’ll watch and look and listen

Dirty snow banks that once were glisten

Straining to hear a robin’s song

See a crocus glorious in my lawn

This reminds me, in theme, and sometimes in language, of all the fine odes to spring written by folks like Herrick and Cummings. Your rhyme scheme here is wonderful! A joy to read.
