listening to the carmell jones quartet on a rainy day

will i regret these idle moments i spend typing

are they wasted moments

moments are not infinite   at least

for the living   breathing   dying sort

will i regret using protons and neutrons

and other sciency things

to tie-up words with atoms

that might be better used elsewhere   by others

am i holding them hostage   like dante's souls

or will i rejoice   at some time yet to come

in reading the words

and remembering the simple pleasures

of writing   and rain   and music

Who's to say that your time could be better spent?

I'll wager you won't be regretting those moments!

Simple pleasures are the best and this is a simple and great poem about them. I love it
