At midnight in my old home I woke up and looked through my window

I heard the silence

I looked at the midnight sky
Vast a hue of blue
With those silent stars
Was it my soul
Kept seeking his parts
As if it fell from there
What does the silence tell me
A pigeon slept on a window pane
It's eyes are closed
Enclosed what's in it's tender heart

D G Moody
I liked the reflective mood in the poem, just how I'd imagine a midnight assignation with ones self.

Gentle, soft and effortless. Love the quietness.
