DEMENTIA TEST

Although I hate taking tests,
In writing some of the words
Automatically flow.
So when I was asked to say
Words with the letter P,
Something strange happened to be.
All the small words disappeared on me,
So I thought here goes, Keeping the
Person writing on her toes.

Persuasively problematic pachyderms,
Philosophically perpendicular.
Political paradigms.
Philanthropic paleontologists,
Pharmaceutical pheromones.
Prehistoric plateosaurus,
Pressurised poltergeist.
Proverbial Paganini,
Pertinent protagonist.
Periodontal paparazzi.
Proclamatory procrastination,
Prevalence persuasion physiology.

Ending the written test she said
" Blimey you could have made it easier for me ".
What could I say,
All my smaller words had gone away.
At least all the ones with the letter P.

So here I am writing with my usual flare,
Finding out I got twenty six out of twenty six.
Gave me a feeling quite rare,
At least for me of pompous pomposity.

Love the way your mind works, favourite line for me has to be, "pressurised poltergeist."

As I've said before, writing is a form of resistance. You seem to be resisting well
