Almost Diamonds

If you were anthracite

And I bituminous

Would the darkness ignite

Suddenly luminous

Shadows and dreams in a fog of violet intertwine

Not as it seems and as impossible to define,

Shall we wait at the door that is a window that is the sky

That was there long before we ever knew how to question why,

Is the world so small forever spinning in it's space

Nothing there at all, reflects the question in our face

Suspects the answers in a role played unconsciously oblique

To always wonder never know only sleepwalk in our speak,

Suddenly luminous

Would the darkness ignite

And I bituminous

If you were anthracite

Takes this reader on an introspective journey. Nice to know that good and light can be had from dark and shadows.
