Unfortunately

Even if the world shifted suddenly, and all its unattractive features, garbage, Burning hydrocarbons, fascists, hunger, refugees, and oligarchs, and endless

War, were wiped away, and, in their places:  healthy, thriving citizens, who, Somehow, learned to like each other, private property erased, and excess wealth Taxed down to nothing, cleaner, cooler air and water, I would not be happier.
I'd remain depressed.  That's how I am.

you'd remain depressed
when you begin saying all the time
"it was better before"
actually things could have been
better or worse that's how life goes
it's not depression
your mind is iced
