In honor and with respect for all who are in the LGTBQ+ community. I wrote this poem after attending my first Pride Festival which included a drag queen show. I have family in the community. They matter in every way just as any other human being.

I Matter

I am not a nobody.
You can push me aside,
Ignore me,
Forget me,
But I will still matter.

I am not unloveable.
You can demote me,
Devalue me,
Demean me,
But I will still matter.

I am not unworthy.
You can roll your eyes,
Shrug your shoulders,
Grimace and moan,
But I will still matter.

I am somebody special.
I am worthy of love.
I am deserving of respect.
I am incredible and,
I will always matter.

The three poems you posted (so far) are so . . . spot on, not a wasted word, no excess.

I concur with every word of this poem.

Really quite a wonderful perspective, and one that I share wholeheartedly, albiet not having friends or relatives in that community you refer to. The world needs... by that I mean Mankind needs... to understand that tolerance for one another's state of being will be the only path to easy living. Blessings, Allen
